Happy Spring! The Crete Woman’s Club is seeking vendors for the 22nd annual “A Day in the Country —
Then and Now” Garden Faire. We are now accepting applications for this event and hope you will accept our
invitation to participate.

This year the Crete Woman’s Club is celebrating a milestone in our history! We are 100 years old and
celebrating in many ways including this special Garden Walk which will note vintage plantings and information
of past gardening designs and techniques at each garden.

This year’s Faire will be held on Wednesday, June 27 and Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Lincolnshire Country
Club in Crete, in conjunction with the “A Day in the Country” Crete Garden Walk—Then and Now.
The Faire is free to the public from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.  In addition to vendor booths and the Crete
Woman’s Club tent, Illinois Master Gardeners will also be on site to answer gardening questions and share
information with those who attend.

Booth spaces are located outdoors in a grassy, wooded area near the entrance to the Country Club.
No electricity is available. Vendors must provide all setup materials. Once unloaded, vehicles, trailers, etc.
must be moved to the designated vendor parking area. Your cooperation is appreciated to maintain the
integrity of the Country Club grounds.

Tickets are required to tour the gardens and for the buffet lunch which will be served in the air-
conditioned Country Club dining room. If you wish to order the buffet lunch, a reservation is needed. An
Order Form is included.  Or, you may choose to order lunch on site from the Country Club Grill on the days
of the event. Also you may bring your own lunch.

We will appreciate your assistance to promote both the Garden Walk and the Garden Faire. On request,
we will be happy to send you small postcards with information about the “Day in the Country” for distribution
at other events you may be attending this spring. If you distribute a calendar of events, we encourage you
to include The Crete Woman’s Club’s Centennial Celebration “A Day in the Country—Then and Now” in your
advertising.

If you would like to participate, please complete and return the application as soon as possible. Spaces will
be assigned in the order the applications are received. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need
additional information.  You may also check for updates on our website:
